And ready! A new generation of consoles on the doorstep, so it’s time to start playing studio games with manufacturers. At the end of the day, we already have some news that will most likely ‘raise’ the hair of fans in the PlayStation world.
If you don’t know, the Far Cry 6 banner specifies that only the Xbox Series X and Xbox One X consoles will be able to reach the much-desired 4K native. Something that many thoughts was a simple mistake by Ubisoft… But no, the new PlayStation 5 won’t even be able to reach 4K in this new game.
“Hey there! As stated on the banner, Far Cry 6 is 4K Ultra HD on Xbox One and Xbox Series X only. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.”

So, first of all, how does the Xbox One X of the previous generation manage to reach 4K and PS5 cannot?
The answer to this question is quite easy to understand, since the Xbox One X is the most capable console of the past generation, and of course, it will not be able to support the graphics effects of the new generation, such as Ray Tracing. Something that the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 will already be able to offer players.
As for the fact that PS5 is unable to run Far Cry 6 in 4K with these effects on … Well, only Ubisoft will be able to respond to that. But it could be derived from the fact that the Xbox Series X GPU is slightly more powerful.
Or else… Are we facing a kind of alliance between Microsoft and Ubisoft?
