Ulefone Mobile has launched the Ulefone U007 Pro, successor to the Ulefone U007 that was launched back in June in India. If you’re thinking this new smartphone would be a massive upgrade to its predecessor since it has a Pro in its name, I’m sorry to disappoint you but that’s not the case; the Ulefone U007 Pro is still a budget smartphone, and the only difference is that it comes with 4G LTE support and sports a newer processor.
Nevertheless, the improvements are actually necessary because no one wants to get stuck with 3G network when there’s super-fast 4G internet connectivity flying around, and since the price difference is not much, it’s a welcome successor. The only category of people I’m feeling sorry for right now are those who already purchased the Ulefone U007 and would now have to take on the task of finding someone to sell it off to.

Display & Design
The Ulefone U007 Pro comes with a 5-inch IPS display with an HD (1280 * 720) pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone is 8.7mm thick, weighs 135 grammes and is designed the same way as the Ulefone U007.
Memory & Performance
Rather than the Quad-core MediaTek MT6580A processor in its predecessor, the Ulefone U007 Pro is powered by a newer 1.3GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor. The GPU compartment has also received a change; the U007 Pro uses a Mali-T720 GPU in place of the Mali 400 GPU in the standard U007.
Memory specifications remain the same; the Ulefone U007 Pro comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB with a micro SD card.
Connectivity & Battery
The Ulefone U007 Pro packs a 2,300mAh battery like its predecessor, but the dual SIM slot on it is designed for more functionality; the U007 Pro comes with 4G LTE support. Other connectivity features like WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS are still present.
Camera
The Ulefone U007 Pro sports an 8MP rear camera which uses a Sony IMX149 sensor, has a f/2.0 aperture and is capable of 1080p video recording. The rear of the phone also houses a LED flash while the front carries a 2MP camera for taking selfies.
Software
The Ulefone U007 Pro runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow from the box.
