Vivo X23 is finally official – Snapdragon 670, present the “notch” in the shape of a drop

Vivo launched its latest smartphone – Vivo X23 – in China. After the last week the phone had been identified in a list appeared on a certification site, in addition to appearing in other teasers, the latest Vivo smartphone has finally arrived on the market, although (for now) only on the “local”.

The Vivo X23 comes with a design that we have already seen on many smartphones of the Chinese house. The phone is equipped with a “notch” waterdrop (in the form of a drop of water), a fingerprint sensor integrated into the display, a 3D glass body, features related to artificial intelligence and the Face Unlock, which allows the unlocking the phone by facial recognition.

Other key features include a 6.41-inch display, a Snapdragon 670 processor, 8 GB of RAM, a 3400 mAh battery with a fast 22.5 W charge, and much more. At the moment, Vivo has not issued any official communication on a device launch outside of China – the hope is that the company chooses to give an international flavor to its new product.

Vivo X23 was launched in China at a price of 3,498 Yuan (around euro). The smartphone is available in the color options Fashion Orange, Fashion Purple, Midnight Blue, Phantom Purple, and Phantom Red. The Fashion Orange and Fashion Purple color variants feature a large Vivo logo on the back. The phone will be on sale in China starting next September 14th.

The dual-SIM Vivo X23 runs Funtouch OS 4.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The smartphone sports a Super AMOLED full HD display at 6.41 inches (1080 × 2340 pixels), and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 octa-core processor clocked up to 2.0 GHz, paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

As for the photo compartment, the Vivo X23 is equipped with a dual camera with a 12-megapixel primary sensor with f / 1.8 aperture and a secondary 13-megapixel sensor with f / 2.4 aperture and a super wide-angle 125-degree lens. On the front side, there is a 12-megapixel camera with f / 2.0 aperture. Finally, the smartphone is powered by a 3400 mAh battery with a 22.5W fast charge.
