The Walton Primo HM4 Plus was released yesterday as a budget smartphone with the average specs. It is the much expensive version of the Primo HM4. The device comes with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and other amazing specs for light users. One of its highlights is the 3800mAh battery that lets you stay online for longer. Without further ado, meet the Walton Primo HM4 Plus.
Design
Sports a Metal mix body that’s quite pleasurable to hold, its smooth overall back looks gorgeous as well. The back looks very simple and clean, just the way Walton make their devices. What you see at the top left is not a dual shooter, that’s a single rear camera and a LED flash. Both on top of the antenna line for a sleek and cute look.
The fingerprint scanner is at the usual position, just above the Walton logo. Moving to the sides now, the volume keys and power button are present, it measures 8.4 mm in thickness as well. The portable smartphone is also very light, weighing just 168g overall. Its available in only Gold and Black colors, according to the company no other color could do justice to its Metal mix body.
Display
First of all, we have to keep in mind that it’s a budget smartphone, so the bezels ain’t surprising. As usual, there are three navigation buttons at the bottom bezel, while the top houses the selfie camera, LED flash, ambient light sensor and speaker grille. Lets forget about the huge bezels for a minute and focus on the screen, shall we?
Moving on the screen, the portable 5-inch HD IPS capacitive touchscreen is so cute. The screen boasts of 1280 x 720 pixels in resolution and 294 pixel per inch density displaying clear visuals. Although it got to a 58.04% screen to body ratio, it supports multi-touch and its scratch resistant as well.
Hardware and Software
Doing all the work underneath is the MediaTek MT6580 chip with Quad-Core processor clocking at 1.3GHz. It has an ARM Mali-400 MP2 graphics processor, 32-Bit CPU architecture and 28nm process technology. Everything should work well for light users, heavy mobile gamers might want to stay off.
Even for multitasking, it has a standard 2GB RAM space with a memory speed of 533MHz for light multitasking. Store all files, games, apps in the 16GB internal storage space, which is upgradeable up to 64GB. The Primo HM4 Plus runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with modified user interface.
Camera
Don’t underestimate the 13MP rear camera on this affordable beauty, it captures 4K resolution images. Yes, photographs taken with the Primo HM4 Plus boasts of 4163 x 3122 pixels. The camera comes with a LED flash beside it and other features like autofocus, touch focus, continuous shooting and the rest.
You can record videos of up to 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second. While the 8MP selfie camera comes with a front LED flash as well. With the front flash, you can take selfies in low light environment and make video calls in the dark.
Battery
Powering the Primo HM4 Plus is a 3800mAh Non-removable Li-Po battery with no fast charging technology support. It might take up to 3 hours to fully charge the device from 0% to 100% without the feature.
