Xgody is well known for their affordable mid-range devices which is just perfect for Android novice. The little downsides of their phones are the lack of fingerprint scanner which has already dominated the Android world. Well, it seems the company is making changes which are evident on the Xgody S9. The S9 comes with lot’s of upgrade starting from the body design down to the hardware. We are not going to review the phone here but will be comparing it with the budget Xgody D24 which apparently lack a fingerprint scanner.

In terms of design, both phones are built with all plastic which shows they are still under the budget device. The Xgody S9 is lucky enough to feature small bezels and a notch. The phone has body dimensions of 74 mm x 153 mm x 9 mm and weighs 202 gram. As for the Xgody D24, it still maintains the traditional design of an average phone. It features bezel with body dimensions of 71.5 mm x 146.75 mm x 8.9 mm. Just as mentioned above, it’s only the Xgody S9 that has a fingerprint scanner. Both phones are available in four amazing colors that include Black, Red, Purple, and Blue.

On the front, the Xgody S9 is blessed with a large display screen size of 6.18 inches HD with a resolution of 1080 x 2246 Pixels and 403 PPI density, while the Xgody D24 has a screen display size of 5.5 inches with a resolution of 960×540 Pixels and 200 PPI density.
Both phones have IPS capacitive touchscreen with a display protection. On the overall, the Xgody S9 wins with a bigger screen and a higher screen to body ratio.

On the camera department, the Xgody S9 wisely choose combo rear cameras that consist of 13 Megapixels + 2 Megapixels with dual LED flash and a front facing camera of 5 Megapixels, while the Xgody D24 has a single rear camera of 5 Megapixels with an LED flash and a front facing camera of 2 Megapixels. The Xgody S9 will take better photos than the later.

On the hardware, the Xgody S9 has MediaTek MT6750 chipset clocked at a speed of 1.5GHz, while the Xgody D24 has a MediaTek MT6580M chipset with Quad-Core 1.30GHz processor. The Xgody S9 has an ARM Mali-T860 MP2 GPU with Android 8.1 Oreo operating system, while the Xgody D24 has ARM Mali-T400 MP2 GPU and it runs on Android 7.1 Nougat. On the memory, the Xgody has an ample RAM of 4GB with inbuilt storage of 32GB which is expandable, while the Xgody D24 has 1GB RAM with 8GB of inbuilt storage. Good thing, you can still expand their memory with a micro SD card.

The Xgody S9 has a massive nonremovable battery capacity of 5000 mAh, while the Xgody D24 has a battery capacity of 2500 mAh. On the price, the Xgody S9 is currently selling at a price of $159.99, while the Xgody D24 is selling at a price of $54.59.
Our Verdict:
It’s obvious, the Xgody S9 will perform better than the Xgody D24 smartphone.
The Xgody D24 will only make a better alternative since the phone is more affordable than it’s rival.
