Xiaomi Black Shark is the company’s first gaming smartphone that was launched today. The Chinese company collaborated with Black Shark to produce this stunning beast that runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.
A powerful gaming smartphone, the device will be in competition with Razer Phone packing a massive 8GB RAM. This is coming just days after Xiaomi released the Mi Mix 2S and their first ever Gaming Laptop. It looks like the company is set to take over the less competitive gaming market. Perhaps a console soon?
Design
A combination of Metal and Polycarbonate, the device looks as rugged as possible just like most gaming smartphone. Boasting of a unique and classic design that’s different from what we typically see on gaming smartphone. The Black Shark “S” logo is pretty much visible at the middle, they also marked their territory at the bottom corner as well.
You won’t have a clue Xiaomi had a hand in this device just by looking at its body. Unlike most gaming smartphone, the Black Shark has dual horizontal cameras with dual tone dual-LED flash. Measuring 9.3 mm in thickness and weighing 190g overall, a light powerful gaming smartphone it is. It’s available in only Black and Gray colors only.
Display
Comes with a massive screen that will be a delight to all gamers. We can see the screen stretches all the way to the sides, even though it has some bezels at the top and bottom corner. A selfie camera and speaker grille is visible at the top, while the physical home button at the bottom bezel doubles as a fingerprint scanner as well.
The 5.99-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is ready for all types of multitouch for gamers. Boasting of 1080 x 2160 pixels in resolution and 403 pixel per inch density bringing your games to live with clear and sharp quality. Apart from dishing out an 18:9 aspect ratio, the screen stretches up to 76% screen to body ratio and has a 97% DCI-P3 coverage.
