Xiaomi finally rolls out Android 10 update to Redmi Note 7 Pro in China

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 Pro last year but the phone has already been followed up with two successors in form of the Redmi Note 8 Pro and the Redmi Note 9 Pro. A few months ago, we got the news that an Android 10 update for the phone was already in the works and we even got to see a beta version. There are reports that claim that a stable update is already rolling out to users in China.

Xiaomi launched it as MIUI V11.0.1.0.QF and it weighs 2.1 GB. The update comes with the latest version of Android as well as May 2020’s security patch. The update doesn’t let you see the visual changes that come with Android 10, no thanks to Xiaomi’s MIUI 11 skin. However, the update still packs many other features from Android 10 including smart replies.

Although Xiaomi has launched two devices in the Redmi Note Series after the Note 7 Pro, it still remains a pretty amazing device. The phone comes with a 6.3-inch FHD+ screen and it features a waterdrop notch. The phone is wrapped with Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides.

Under the hood, the phone packs a Snapdragon 675 chipset supported with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD card. The phone sports a 48-megapixel + 5-megapixel camera setup on the rear and a 13-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

The phone packs a 4000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charge. On the bottom side of the phone, there is a USB-C port while a fingerprint sensor is mounted on the rear.

Since the Chinese variant is already getting updates, we expect the global version of the phone to get updated soon.
