Xiaomi Mi 8 VS Huawei Honor 10 – Chinese premium smartphones under $600

Xiaomi Mi 8 VS Huawei Honor 10 – Chinese premium smartphones under $600. Honor is a sub-brand of Huawei, they use most of the company technology in manufacturing their products. The brand was created by Huawei to bridge the gap between premium and affordable smartphones. Even their latest Huawei P20 and P20 Pro come with a high price tag not many can afford. Honor’s leading flagship is the Honor 10, which is said to be an affordable version of the Huawei P20. For instance, the same Hisilicon Kirin 970 chipset with Mali-G72 MP12 GPU that powers the Huawei P20 also powers the Honor 10.

Well, Huawei isn’t the only phone maker to manufacture affordable premium smartphones. We also have Xiaomi and OnePlus. Xiaomi recently released their latest flagship, the Xiaomi Mi 8. And like every other Xiaomi phones, the Xiaomi Mi 8 is “affordable”. The price range of the new Xiaomi Mi 8 makes it a direct competitor to the Huawei Honor 10.

In terms of design, both smartphones are as trendy as they can be. They both feature a front and back glass with an aluminum frame that’s all glossy and curvy by the edges. Gradient color now seems to be a trending stuff, as the Honor 10 features a gradient back, which is beautiful to eyes. Apparently, the Xiaomi Mi 8 doesn’t feature that, though the blue body color looks amazing. No IP rating or water resistance for either the Xiaomi Mi 8 or Huawei Honor 10. The Xiaomi Mi 8 supports face identification while the Honor 10 doesn’t.

The Huawei Honor 10 is available in four body colors option; Glacier Grey, Phantom Blue, Phantom Green and Midnight Black.
