Xiaomi Mi 8 VS OnePlus 6 – Who’s king of affordable premium smartphone?

Xiaomi Mi 8 VS OnePlus 6 – Who’s the king of affordable premium smartphone? Xiaomi has re-entered the flagship smartphone scene with the new Xiaomi Mi 8. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S was announced in March 2018 and with just four months gone, the phone maker are back again. The Xiaomi Mi 8 didn’t come alone like most Xiaomi’s smartphones. The Mi 8 comes with a bigger brother called Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer edition and a junior brother called Xiaomi Mi 8 SE (Special edition). The Xiaomi Mi 8 features high-end specs and is sold for a reasonable price just like the Mi Mix 2S.

Well, Xiaomi is not the only phone maker company that offers high-end specs at a reasonable price. We also have OnePlus, who recently released their most anticipated OnePlus 6. The specs and price range of the OnePlus 6 makes it a direct competitor to the Xiaomi Mi 8. They both offer most high-end specs you see in smartphones that cost over $1,000, and they’re sold for below $700. That’s simply pure value for money. So with the new OnePlus 6 and Xiaomi Mi 8 now fully out there. Which one of the two phones is the best? We’ll find out at the end of this comparison article between the Xiaomi Mi 8 and OnePlus 6.

This is the first smartphone from both Xiaomi and OnePlus to feature a glass back. So they’re both offering something new to their followers in design. The OnePlus 6 and Xiaomi Mi 8 comes in a front and back glass with aluminum frame. The aluminum frame found on the Xiaomi Mi 8 is a special 7000 series. The Xiaomi Mi 8 offers four body colors option; Black, Blue, White, and Gold. While the OnePlus 6 has no Blue or Gold body color, instead it offers Midnight Black, Mirror Black, and Silk White.

They both feature a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and dual rear camera. The dual rear camera and LED flash of the Xiaomi Mi 8 is placed at the top left corner. While the dual rear camera and LED flash of the OnePlus 6 is placed at the center just above its fingerprint sensor. Both the Xiaomi Mi 8 and OnePlus 6 features a notch at the top screen.
