In this post, we will be showing the difference between these two Bands from Xiaomi. The Xiaomi Mi Band 5 is the latest generation and given that the Band comes with some interesting feature, the Band still share some features in common with the Band 4. Let us see the comparison.

Design And Display
On the body design, we noticed a slight difference in the screen size. The new Band 5 sport a bigger 1.1-inch AMOLED dynamic color display which is an improvement over the 0.95-inch AMOLED display on Band 4.
Further, the new Band 5 comes with a magnetic charging dock with electrodes at the bottom, so there is no need to pull out the strap to charge the device. They come with the same swappable bands and water-resistant build to resist up to 50 meters underwater.
Battery
Going to the power, the Mi Band 4 has a 135mAh battery that lasts up to 20 days on a single charge. Meanwhile, the latest which is the Mi Band 5 has a 125mAh battery that can deliver up to 14 days of battery life for the NFC variant while the none NFC variant can last up to 20 days in a single charge.
Other Features
The new Xiaomi Mi Band 5 comes preinstalled with 11 exercise modes while the Mi Band 4 comes only with six modes. The additional modes include yoga, rowing machine, elliptical, jump rope, and cycling.
Interestingly it also has a new remote control feature that lets you click a photo using a paired smartphone. The Mi Band 5 also has PAI (Personal Activity Intelligence) coupled with women’s health monitoring that tracks their menstrual cycles.
You should also note that the Chinese variant of both the Mi Band 5 and Band 4 has NFC support and Xiao AI, digital assistant. Further, they can also show notifications, locate the paired smartphone, set an alarm, track real-time activities, check for heart rate, etc.
