The YU YUNIQUE PLUS is the successor to last year’s YU YUNIQUE, and what is supposed to be a massive upgrade considering the features modern smartphones are now carrying, has turned out not to be so. The YU YUNIQUE PLUS differs from the YU YUNIQUE only in the RAM section; all other features contained in the YU YUNIQUE remain the same the YUNIQUE PLUS.

Display & Design
The YU YUNIQUE PLUS has a laminated IPS display which is 4.7 incches wide and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device is designed with metal and polycarbonate like the YU YUREKA S.
Memory & Performance
The YU YUNIQUE PLUS is packed with a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor under the hood, and features an Adreno 306 GPU for graphics processing. It comes with 2GB of RAM, its one advancement over it predecessor, the YU YUNIQUE (which came with 1GB of RAM). The YUNIQUE PLUS also comes with 8GB of built-in expandable memory.
Connectivity and Battery
The YU YUNIQUE PLUS fully supports 4G LTE with Cat. 4 technology, and this is achieved via a dual-SIM slot bundled with the phone. Also included for connectivity are the normal features – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0 and GPS.
The smartphone comes with a 2,000mAh Lithium ion battery.
Camera
At the rear the YUNIQUE PLUS houses an 8MP camera unit which records videos at a resolution of 1920 * 1080 pixels and has an f/2.0 aperture, combined altogether with LED flash for full functionality.
It features a 2MP camera unit at the front with f/2.4 aperture and 83o wide-angle lens, useful for taking full group selfies.
Software and Hardware
There isn’t much in terms of hardware features in the YUNIQUE PLUS. In software however, the YU YUNIQUE PLUS offers something even modern smartphones don’t; the ability to run either Android OS 5.1 Lollipop on the phone, or run Cyanogen OS 12.1. And you know what, the choice is totally yours.
