ZTE Nubia X Specs Review, 3 Variants, Dual Display, No Selfie Camera

ZTE Nubia X was launched on the last day of October 2018. This sleek high-quality design smartphone can easily pass for a mid-range device. Not surprisingly, the dual screens and the top chipset, no-bezel display, no selfie camera, make this device one that will elucidate more comments from commentators.

Design and Display of ZTE Nubia X

Body design material is a combination of aluminum and glass. The dimensions are 154.1 x 73.3 x 8.4 mm and its weight is 181 grams. However, this device is not water resistant. Colors include blue, gold, sea blue, black, and deep gray.

Screen size is 6.26 inches. Furthermore, display type is FHD+ LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touch screen of 16 million colors. Pixel resolution is 1080 x 2280. Pixel density is 403 ppi, screen to body ratio is 86.6 percent, and aspect ratio is 19:9. Protective features include multi-touch, scratch resistant, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Thankfully, there is a secondary display in the ZTE Nubia X. This comes at 5.1 inches OLED 720 x 1520 pixels, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Camera Features

There are two cameras at the rear of the ZTE Nubia X. these are 16 MP plus 24 MP f/1.8 and f/1.7 apertures that produces above average level images. These come with dual-LED flash. The video performance is 2160p@30fps of FHD recording.

Other features include auto focus, continuous shooting, digital zoom, exposure compensation, face detection, geo-tagging panorama, HDR, ISO settings, scene mode, self-timer, touch focus, and others.

However, there is no selfie camera in the ZTE Nubia X.

Hardware and Software

Android 8.1 Oreo reigns supreme in the device as the operating system which comes with Nuba UI 6.0 user interface. Hardware includes Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 chipset with process technology 10nm. CPU is Octa-core 2.65 GHz 8-Cores, and GPU is Adreno 630 2-Cores. These work with 64-bit architecture.

Storage Capacity and Sensors

There are three variants of the ZTE Nubia X. Thus, the RAM makes up 8GB/6GB, which cannot be expanded, and also there is the internal storage of 64GB/128GB/256GB. There is no microSD card slot available for ZTE Nubia X.

Sensors include Dual fingerprint, accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, compass, and gyroscope.

Network Connectivity in ZTE Nubia X

There are 2G, 3G, and 4G internet networks in the device. This means that the ZTE Nubia X is able to operate GSM, WCDMA, HSDPA, and LTE. Other components of the device are Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, USB Type-C, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, HDMI, 3.5mm audio jack, and more.

However, there is no NFC or infrared in this device.

Battery Life

Powering the device is a 3800 mAh Li-Po non-removable battery that has no wireless charging but it has fast charging technology. That means the user can charge from zero to 100 percent if the device has fast charging technology.

Price and Availability

The following characterizes the prices of variants of the device.  The 6GB/64GB sells for $475 USD, while the 8GB/128GB sells for $535 USD, while the 8GB/256 variant sells for $605 USD. The special edition which comes in Sea Light Blue color variant will attract more in price. The ZTE Nubia X is already released but will fully go in sale on November 5, 2018.
