Google has released a new version of Chrome for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS – the Chrome 74. Despite the presence of many features and also fixes, one of the most important is undoubtedly the dark mood that comes to Windows 10. For Mac users, this mode has been available since the previous version – Chrome 73.

Chrome 74- dark mode comes to Windows 10 but there is more news for Android and not only

In fact, the dark mode or if you prefer the dark mode works great. It lessens the view, especially when we are on the computer in darker environments. In addition, it even reduces power consumption. Now Chrome 74 comes with all this for Windows, but the option is not enabled in Chrome.

If we want to use it we have to change the Windows operating system theme from light to dark. As soon as we do this, the Chrome 74 will appear in dark mode to fit the rest of the Windows system.

Apart from this novelty, we have nothing more, nothing less, than 39 solved security problems. In addition, the possibility of opening a new tab was removed when the page we were viewing was closed. This is undoubtedly good news for users. It is that when we closed a certain page we ended up being offered with much publicity, in some occasions. Additionally, it is no longer possible to start downloads from iframes. This was widely used to spread malware.

Another major change is the removal of the data saving feature on Android. I mean it was removed the way we knew it. Now it’s called Lite mode and will continue to reduce data usage while accelerating page loading. Everything works in a very simple way. If Chrome notices that a page takes more than 5 seconds to show text or a page on the screen, it will load a Lite version of the page. This page will be optimized to load much faster.

They are certainly good news for those who do not go without Chrome.
