Dropbox announced the release of the official add-on for Gmail, the e-mail client created by Google.
Thanks to this new feature – explained the company that manages one of the most famous files hosting services in the world – users will be able to view, archive and share any type of files without having to leave their mailbox.
The new add-on, concludes Dropbox in a post on its official blog, can be used on any browser and with the Gmail app for the Android operating system. On iOS, however, we will have to wait a little longer.
- Work without limits. Stop worrying about the size of the file or the space. Just add a link to any file or folder in your Dropbox and anyone can access it without installing special software.
- Eliminate distractions. Accessing your Dropbox directly in Gmail means no more jumping back and forth between apps. And shared links always point to the latest versions, so it is not necessary to update the email threads when the files are updated.
- Centralize everything. Tired of having to keep track of the job? The Gmail add-on allows you to easily save files from your email to Dropbox, so you can keep all your work in one place.
The release of the Gmail add-on comes several months after the close collaboration between Dropbox and Google Cloud. The add-on is available on the G Suite Marketplace.
