It is in the offing that once Android 9Pie rolls out around March 2019, Google will begin charging some smartphone owners to use the previously free phone themes.
What we learned is that Samsung Themes store is going to make 14-day trial offers for downloads. This supposed to allow users to customize their smartphones look and feel.
Reports revealed that once the free 14-day trial comes to an end, the phone will automatically switch back to the default theme. Prior to that, users will get a notification telling them that the offer is coming to an end. This notification will occur at 24 hours, 10 minutes before the expiry of the offer.
Each of the notification will tell users to pay some money in order to continue using the themes. For now, Samsung already offers users free and paid themes within the store at the moment. That’s only for now, as Samsung will scrap that once Android 9 Pie rolls out on smartphones such as Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9.
Also, when the Pie rolls out next year, Samsung plans to bring the redesigned user interface into play. Samsung has already talked about this at the last Samsung Developers Conference event concluded in November 2018. It said that the new user experience is designed to put the most pertinent information at the front of the screen, at the center, and at the areas where it will be easy to reach them.
In this way, users do not have to scan their mobile smartphones endlessly, because they will find it easy to reach what matters to them. No need to reach for the length of the display before a user finds what he or she is looking for.
At the present time, the first official beta for Android Pie has started rolling out on some Samsung devices in the month of November but that is not happening in many places yet. Even the UK is still not experiencing that. Later, it is expected that one user interface will also roll out for Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8. The user interface is expected to arrive with Android 9 Pie.
