DESIGN
You do not expect an Infinix phone to look poorly, do you? The Infinix Hot 5 is a very sleek phone that appeals to the eyes. It holds a measurement of 154.8 * 77.7 * 8.35 mm and weighs 168g. We think the phone would still feel comfortable to be carried about. The phone features a fingerprint sensor strategically placed on the rear. It also has dual speakers on its front. Still on the design, Hot 5 features diamond cutting edge design.
DISPLAY
The display size of the Infinix Hot 5 is placed at 5.5 inches. With this, you might need both your hands while making use of the phone. Hot 5 display resolution is set at 1280 * 720 pixels while the display type is an IPS display.
PROCESSOR AND OS
The Hot 5 is built on a Quad-core Cortex processor. The processor speed is set at 1.3GHz which seems a bit cheap though. Infinix Hot 5 runs on an Android operating system Nougat. This would be a significant upgrade from the Hot 4 which ran on the Android v6.0 MarshMallow.
INTERNAL STORAGE AND OS
For your storage of music, videos, documents and other files, an internal storage space of 16 GB is available. This space can be expanded up to 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. Taking care of the smooth running of applications on the Hot 5 is a 2 GB RAM. Switching between apps might not be too much of a headache for users.
CAMERA
On the rear of the Infinix Hot 5, there’s an 8 MP camera. While on the front is a 5 MP camera. Both cameras come with flashlights to take pictures in low light conditions. We do think Infinix could have done better in this department.
BATTERY
As its powerhouse, the Infinix Hot 5 packs a whopping 4000 mAh battery. According to the makers, Infinix Hot 5 provides at least two days usage for an average user (we’re not sure about that though). This battery capacity could also last heavy smartphone users for a worthwhile time. They also claim that the local OS, XOS is energy-efficient which would improve battery life.
