The DxOMark platform has already revealed its analysis to the camera of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. Its conclusions show us that the double chamber of this folding is far from being able to match what is required of a top of the range in 2024.

The note given by DxOMArk places the latest foldable from Samsung one position below the iPhone XS Max, a smartphone launched in late 2018. As the platform highlights, the camera of the Galaxy Z Flip is not bad, it just is not up to par current market standards.
The camera of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip can produce images with a good dynamic range, good color rendering, and exposure. The smartphone can handle image noise well, although in many cases its presence is easily noticeable.
Where this folding fails most is the low level of detail of the images, slow autofocus and poor performance of its wide-angle lens. The absence of a zoom lens is another point that in no way favors the Galaxy Z Flip.
When we look at the video, the Galaxy Z Flip collects praise when it comes to vivid colors, quick focus, or even stabilization. However, it fails in the dynamic range, in the way it deals with image noise when light is scarce and incoherence in the sharpness of images.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is in a very particular niche market
We have to be honest and point out that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is no ordinary smartphone. This model represents something different. It’s futuristic and South Korean’s focus has never been to offer the best possible photographic experience on a smartphone.
If you want a smartphone with a good camera, you have the Galaxy S20 that offers something much more powerful. Now, if you want something that will set you apart from the rest and put you at the forefront of technology, then you should look at the Z Flip.
