Tambo TA 50 Review, 4000mAh Battery, 8MP Camera, & Full Specs

Tambo TA 50

Tambo Mobile came into the Nigerian smartphone market with various handset models. One of them is the Tambo TA 50, which was recently launched at Radisson Blu Hotels in Lagos, Nigeria, on September 19, 2018.

The special attributes of Tambo TA 50 is the software on which it runs, its HD display, and its powerful battery life on which users can fully depend.

Design and Display of Tambo TA 50

TA 50 is proud to have a display of 5.0-inch screen size. The screen type is HD IPS, and probably LCD, on which the user can have boundless experience when using the device. The screen has 640 x 1280 pixels in resolution and 268 ppi density.

Polycarbonate material is the main ingredient of building the device. There is a loudspeaker located at the rear of the Tambo TA 50 to boost sounds especially for those who love to enjoy music while fulfilling chores around the house.

It measures 9.15mm in thickness. That’s when you look at it from the sides, and it means that it is a reasonably flat device. The colors for the Tambo TA 50 are Champagne and black.

Camera Features

There is an 8 MP camera to the rear of Tambo TA 50. There’s also another 8 MP camera to the front of the handset. Just like in the case of its companion Tambo TA 55, the rear camera and selfie camera adopt AF features which are a work from Samsung. The rear camera possesses LED flash capabilities.

That’s nice when you know that this product is able to snap better quality selfies in low lighting conditions. Other features of the cameras are Face beauty, panorama, burst mode, sticker mode, and other modes. The LED flash and fingerprint have proximity to each other.

Hardware, Software, and Storage

Android 8.1 Oreo Go edition is used to power the device this time.

As usual, there is the 1GB RAM plus 16GB internal storage which is big enough for mild smartphone users. For those who love to do a lot and store a lot of games, movies, and other videos, there is a need to expand space to the tune of 64GB through microSD card.

Network and Connectivity

Internet connectivity for Tambo TA 50 are 2G and 3G internet. You no doubt know what that means in a country where everyone is jetting towards the 4G internet. Anyway, there are dual Nano SIM slots and a microSD. Other features are Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, A-GPS, and GLONASS.

Battery Life

A non-removable Li-Po 4000 mAh battery exists in the Tambo TA 50 which can allow the user to make use of the device for two days on a row without having to charge it. There is no fast or wireless charging for this device.

Price and Availability

The price of the Tambo TA 50 is not yet available, and like its companion TA 55, you can’t find them on smartphones stores in Nigeria. This is so even as Tambo Mobile revealed that the devices are solely made for the Nigerian smartphone market.

Hopefully, by the end of October, fans will be able to order this device from Tambo Mobile website and from other prominent smartphone stores in Nigeria.
