DESIGN
First, the device comes in mainly attractive colours which include the Aurora Blue, Grass Green, Streamer Gold, Obsidian Black and Rose Gold. It measures 142.2 by 68.9 by 6.9 mm, while it weighs 143g. Photos of this device suggest it to be a fantastic and sleek one which is synonymous with other Huawei devices. The Huawei Nova 2 has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
DISPLAY
With an LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, the display size of this device stands at 5.0 inches. Personally, I do not fancy a 5.0 inches smartphone. Sure, Huawei could have done better. The device holds a 1080 x 1920 pixels in display resolution, with a 69.7% screen-to-body ratio.
PROCESSOR, OS AND MEMORY
Running on an Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor, the Huawei Nova 2 runs the Android Operating system v7.0 Nougat. It avails users with a 64 GB internal storage, and a whopping 4 GB RAM. The internal storage can be expanded with the use of a micro SD card, up to 256 GB. The SD card would make use of the Sim 2 slot.
CAMERA
The Huawei Nova 2 phone sports a dual 12 + 8 MP camera on its rear. While on the front is a 20 MP single camera. Other features of the camera include 1.25 µm pixel size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama and HDR.
I think there’s a major increase in the adoption of dual cameras. Huawei doesn’t want to be left behind.
BATTERY OF THE HUAWEI NOVA 2 SMARTPHONE
The Huawei Nova 2 device is powered by a Non-removable Li-Po 2950 mAh battery. This battery capacity would be suitable for a little below average users. Average and heavy users would be better off with a much higher battery capacity than this.
