New innovative frontiers are being forged in the automobile industry these days as buyers are on the lookout for what will make their lives easier. To that effect, luxury car-maker Bentley launched what the company says is the first superfast reliable and secure in-car Wi-Fi system.
The British firm also made effort to build a bespoke router into the boot of its cars. Going forward, Bentley would like a wireless router to be positioned inside all the new models coming for the year 2019.
This innovation is known as Advanced Connectivity and the network will operate on three SIM cards placed inside the router. In this way, it will link to a fixed broadband hub to provide connectivity while the car is on top speed.
The system has already been tested and verified by the Bentley management. Since it works well, it is soon going to be what customers will experience themselves. Of course, the firm is very keen to see it used by customers as it prides itself as the first to usher in this innovation for the auto industry.
The Bentley management also released a statement that they are very happy about the prospects of the system and that those who will make use of it from the rear side of the Bentley car with the internet connection will be able to explore multiple types of heavy content.
Doing things like streaming Netflix on your iPad or doing live Skype call and receiving a heavy data file is all possible for multiple users from a single internet connectivity point. Workers will be able to do their virtual chores of editing and writing, and they can send them back to the office no matter how large the files may be, all from the comfort of a car moving on high speed.
Users are guaranteed of utmost security and are urged not to worry as it is one of the crucial parts of the network’s design. This is very necessary in the wake of several high-profile hacking demonstrations in recent years.
Bentley says that its ambition is to always ensure that the products are secure because safety is a non-negotiable paramount.
