Next, tap on the chat, group, or channel you would like to mute.
Now, tap on the three-dot menu button located in the top right corner of the screen.
From the menu that comes up, tap on the “Mute Notifications” option.
Now, you should see a message pop up on the screen. From the pop-up, select how long you would like the conversation to be muted. If, instead, you want the conversation to be muted forever, tap on the “Disable” option.

That’s all.

The process for muting conversations on iOS is very similar to doing it on the Android Telegram app. The difference, however, is the time duration for muting. On iOS, the time duration you can mute a conversation includes one hour, one day, two days, or forever.
First off, go to the Telegram app on your iOS device and tap on the chat, group, or channel you would like to mute.
Now, tap on the name of the chat, group, or channel at the top of the screen.
Now, tap on the “Mute” option. A pop-up will appear on the screen.
From the pop-up, select how long you want the chat to be muted. If you want the chat to be muted forever, select the “Mute Forever” option.
Now, the conversation will be muted. You should also notice a tiny mute icon next to the name of the chat.
If later on you change your mind and want to unmute the chat, go back to the conversation and tap on the name of the contact, channel, or group at the top of the screen. Tap on the Unmute option.
