Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed that Apple is planning to adopt Wi-Fi 7 compatibility in its devices next year. This move is aimed at improving speed, reliability, and the ability for different Wi-Fi 7 devices to interact with each other. Wi-Fi 7 is expected to offer peak data speeds of over 40 Gbps, making it up to four times faster than Wi-Fi 6. It will also introduce Multi-Link Operation, allowing for more devices to connect simultaneously. While upgrading to Wi-Fi 7 may be expensive for users, it will be essential for taking advantage of features like Vision Pro and supporting technologies such as augmented and virtual reality.
