Display
The Vivo Y79 is one of those devices coming up with a 2:1 aspect ratio (18:9) and the usual 720 * 1440 pixel resolution that comes with it. The display in question is a 5.99-inch On-Cell FullView display at 84.4% screen-to-body ratio.
Design
The smartphone sports a metal unibody design in Matte Black, Champagne Gold and Rose Gold colours. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner with its power key and volume buttons located on its right side.
Storage & Processor
Under the hood, it combines Adreno 506 GPU for graphics with Qualcomm’s 2.0GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor running on 4GB of RAM. The internal storage capacity is 64GB of expandable memory.
Camera
The camera department highlights Vivo’s most impressive feature which is its 24MP selfie camera with Moonlight selfie flash. At the rear is a 16MP Autofocus shooter with LED flash, phase detection and a 64MB ultra HD images support merging four images into one.
Battery & Connectivity
The Vivo Y79 powers up on a built-in 3225mAh battery that can carry you for as long as you could ever ask for. Connectivity options include; Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS + A-GPS, FM Radio, fingerprint sensor, 4G VoLTE.
Software
The smartphone will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box with Vivo’s custom skin, FunTouch 3.2 on top.
