Design
Sports a Plastic overall body that’s quite comfortable to hold and flaunt as well. It has a dots-like design all over it, giving it a more sleek look. The dual rear camera which is the highlight of the device exudes at the top left corner in style.
The LED flash sits right beside the dual shooters, ready to take over the night. There’s a 3.5 mm jack at the top and a USB port underneath to charge the battery and transfer files. Moving further, it measures 10.8 mm in thickness like most budget smartphones. You can get the Assistant AS-503 Target in Gold, Blue and Black colors only.
Display
Comes with bezels as expected, even the side bezels came out to play a bit. Nonetheless, it dishes out a 16:9 aspect ratio as the screen stretches up to 67% screen to body ratio. The top bezel houses the selfie camera, ambient light sensor, speaker grille and LED flash.
While the bottom bezel comes with three navigation buttons to navigate through the device. Bringing the display to live is the 5-inch HD IPS capacitive touchscreen. Which boasts of 1280 x 720 pixels in resolution and 294 pixel per inch density. The screen has a 24 bit color depth and supports multi-touch as well.
Hardware and Software
Running the race underneath is the MediaTek MT6580M chip, it comes with a 32-bit CPU architecture and 4-cores of processor. The Octa-core processor clocks at 1.3GHz with a 28nm process technology. In charge of graphics is the ARM Mali-400 MP2 which clocks at 416MHz.
Multitask with 2GB RAM space available, the RAM has a memory speed of 533MHz for a smooth ride. For storage, 16GB storage space is available to store all files. You can upgrade further up to 128GB anytime you want, using a memory card.
The AS-503 Target runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with modified user interface.
Camera
Don’t underestimate the dual 13MP + 0.3MP rear shooters on this affordable beauty. The dual cameras has f/2.2 aperture, LED flash and captures 4K resolution images. With the Assistant AS-503 Target, you can take photographs with 4163 x 3122 pixels in dimension. Record videos of 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second and take selfies with the 5MP selfie camera that comes with a LED flash as well.
Battery
Powering the Assistant AS-503 Target is a 2500mAh removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging technology. Even without the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take more than 2.1 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
