Dell introduces business Latitude and Precision laptops with Intel hexacores

Dell has unveiled new laptops for its Latitude and Precision series. Most models are equipped with Intel’s new Coffee Lake-H processors, with six cores. Dell also offers a 2-in-1 in the Precision series with Kaby Lake-G chips, with integrated AMD Vega-GPU.

The Kaby Lake-G chips are included in the Dell Precision 5530 2-in-1, much like the previously released XPS 15 2-in-1. It’s a thin 15.6 “model with a 4k screen an Intel Core i5-8305G, i7-8705G or an i7-8706G.These Kaby Lake-G chips have an AMD Vega M GL-GPU, according to Dell is it a Radeon Pro WX variant, but perhaps the difference is only in drivers.

Dell also comes with a regular version of the Precision 5530, which in turn looks a lot like the regular XPS 15. This model has a maximum of an Intel Core i9-8950HK on board, a hexacore with a speed of 2.9 GHz and a turbo speed of 4.6 GHz. This 15.6 “model also has a 4k screen, but there is also a full HD option, the GPU is a Nvidia Quadro P1000 or P2000.

The Precision line also shows 3530, the 15.6-inch entry-level model with quadcore or hexacore CPU.The laptop offers space for a 2.5 “HDD and an m2 SSD. A Nvidia Quadro P600 GPU is optional. The Precision 7530 is also a 15.6 “model, but more ram fits here, up to 64GB ddr4 and a Quadro P3200 or Radeon Pro WX 4150 GPU can be fitted.

The Dell Precision 7730 is a 17.3 “model with a maximum of a Core i9 processor and up to 128GB of DDR4 memory, and a faster GPU in the large model, up to the Radeon Pro WX 7100 8GB or the Nvidia Quadro P5200 16GB.

In the Latitude series, Dell comes with a new 14 “model, the Latitude 14 5491. This includes a quadcore or hexacore CPU from the Coffee Lake-H series, up to 32GB of RAM and a Nvidia GeForce MX130 GPU. The cheapest model has a screen resolution of 1366×768 pixels, but Dell also delivers versions with full HD displays The Latitude 15 5591 has similar specifications but is a larger 15.6 “model.

Dell has announced the new models in a press release. The new Latitude and Precision laptops will be available for purchase from May 22nd according to the manufacturer, with the exception of the 5530 2-in-1. When that model comes out, it will be announced later. Dell does not yet mention recommended prices.
