The 8-inch display on this new slate offers an improved resolution of 1,200 x 1920 pixels for better clarity. But the 5 MP rear camera on this tablet is something that may not impress many.

TECH SPECIFICATIONS

With a new Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor,  a quad-core CPU, which is supported by ample 4 GB of RAM, and a  speed of up to 2.24 GHz, the new Dell Venus 8 Pro should deliver a snappy performance.

The tablet runs on Windows 10 Pro operating system out-of-the-box, with the standard option being the Pro edition at an extra cost.

For storage, the Dell Venue 8 Pro comes with massive onboard storage capacity of 64 GB and this can be expanded further using a microSD card. With a micro-SIM card slot, the tablet offers cellular connectivity which means it can be used for making calls. It supports the use of a Dell Active Pen, which has to be bought separately.

The slate’s support for incredibly fast 4G LTE connectivity ensures snappy web surfing on supported networks. The Dell Venus 8 Pro also features  band Wi-Fi 802.11ac with 2×2 antennas is also available for wireless connectivity. Dell Venue 8 Pro offers a reversible, future-focused USB 3.0 Type-C port.
