The Huawei Nova 2 Lite is now officially available on shopping stores as the much affordable variant of the Nova 2. The new midrange device comes with dual rear camera and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
The Nova 2 Lite offers great value for money with quality features like 3GB RAM, 32GB storage and an impressive display. Do you want to know more about the Huawei Nova 2 Lite? Stay with me.
Design
A combination of Metal + Plastic, the Nova 2 Lite is a beauty to behold and hold. Moving further, the dual horizontal camera at the top left shares the same foundation with the LED flash. The fingerprint scanner and Huawei logo are in their usual position as the back reflects light beautifully.
The device is very slim by the sides, making it easy to hold and flaunt when you are out and about. Measuring just 7.8mm in thickness with a perfect grip to it. It weighs 155g overall, which should make the device easy to operate with one hand. You can only get it in Blue and Black colors only.
Display
Bezel-less and affordable, the Nova 2 Lite dishes out an 18:9 aspect ratio. With extremely narrow bezels and a little top and bottom bezel. The company isn’t ready to get rid of their logo at the bottom bezel of the Nova series. While the top bezel houses the usual features.
The 5.99-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is perfect for movies, especially on landscape mode. Dishing out a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and 269 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. The screen could only reach 76.50% screen to body ratio, it could have gotten to 80% if they really wanted it to.
Hardware and Software
The system on chip here is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430, a 64-bit CPU architecture alongside 8-cores of processor. The Octa-core processor reaches a clock speed of 1.4GHz with a 28nm process technology for fast performance. Taking care of the graphics is the Qualcomm Adreno 505 graphics processor.
Multitask through apps with the 3GB of RAM space available, which reaches a memory speed of 800 MHz . In terms of storage space, 32GB is available to accommodate all your files while you can upgrade further up to 128GB with a memory card. The Nova 2 Lite runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with Emotion UI 8.0.
Camera
The dual 13MP + 2MP shooters at the rear shouldn’t be underestimated. The cameras will work together to capture 4K resolution images. Of course there’s a LED flash by the side and other features inside enabling you take photographs with 4608 x 3456 pixels in dimension. The 8MP selfie camera has f/2.0 aperture and face recognition technology.
Battery
Powering the Huawei Nova 2 Lite is a 3000mAh Non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take more than 2 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.

Nice one huawei team! Dual camera now the new technological trend in smartphone
Huawei’s Nova 2 Lite offers a modest set of features in line with its price tag.
I noticed most phones being released these days come with similar specs like dual cameras, 18:9 display, 2/3GB RAM, 3000mAh battery, and so on. If this continue like this, it’s going to affect sales. We need something quite unique each time. This is where Nokia is missed. I just wish they could bring back the Symbian magic ? like we used to have it.
Wow, Pocket-friendly with trendy looks.
