Infinix Mobility is one of Nigeria & the Middle East affordable Smartphone makers. They probably are next to Tecno Mobile, Gionee and Itel when it comes to producing high-end phones.
Infinix Note 2 X600 is the first affordable 6.0-inch phablet from Infinix. It is one of the finest budget smartphones with awesome specs and design. The Infinix Note 2 is an improve version of the hot selling Infinix Hot Note, because it features some pretty dope technical specifications that rival smartphones makers struggle to fight.

PACKAGE
The Infinix Note 2 package is almost same as that of the Infinix Hot Note/Hot Note Pro. The box has this awesome snake skin-like surface that provides premium appeal even before unboxing the smartphone. Box contents include:
- 1 x Infinix Note 2 phone
- 1 x AC Charger / Travel adapter (White)
- 1 x Micro USB charging Cable (White)
- 1 x User guide and warranty notes
DESIGN
The Infinix Note 2 is an elegantly built smartphone, it comes in a mature design and not just an ordinary cheap plastic found on most phones. It offer curve shapes to be perfectly handle in hands. You would just love to hold this device in your hand. It is light weight at 194g for a phablet in that range and 9.3 mm thin (although not the thinnest in the market).
The Infinix Note 2 has same likeness to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. It will be hard for a non tech person to tell the former from the latter.
The Infinix Note 2 has a detachable cover that gives access to two Micro-SIM slots as well as a MicroSD slot.
At the top rear of the Note 2 comes a 13 MP camera right next to the LED flash. The earphone plug is at the bottom while the charging port and microphone are located at the bottom of the device.
DISPLAY
Infinix Note 2 is a 6-inch device with a 5.98-inche IPS LCD display screen with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and pixel density of 294 ppi. The display delivers a clear, sharp and bright viewing capability, but not too well for a phablet device with huge screen. The display also delivers HD viewing for movies and other multimedia experience. Viewing angles is impressive.
Reading text, on the screen of the Note 2 is a great pleasure and perfect an avid e-book reader. It display is however bright that it can light up whole room at night if you have the brightness level near its maximum. However, the Infinix Note 2 display really struggles while under direct sunlight.
CAMERA
There is a 13MP auto-focus camera on the Note 2 which is not a disappointment, but an upgrade from previous Hot Note with single flash near it. The camera takes decent pictures during the day with abundant light. Pictures taken under low light looks noisy and less sharp. The 2MP front camera also does reasonably well under abundant light for video calls and selfies. The front facing camera does not get Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) so you need to ensure your camera is stable before taking selfies.
Below are some of the camera samples taken with the rear camera:
MEMORY
Internal memory of the Infinix Note 2 is 16GB. The internal storage on the device can be expandable using a microSD card as was the case with its predecessor, which supported up to 32GB cards. Its RAM size clocks at just 1GB which I see as not too good at the moment when people are crying for a 3GB RAM devices.
HIGH PERFORMANCE
A 64-bit Octa-core CPU does all the work. It clocks in at 1.3GHz, this enables apps open fast and web pages load easily. It runs Android 5.1 at its optimum. The Note 2 user interface is heavily customized and you get the Infinix proprietary user interface dubbed (XUI) laid on top of the OS.
BATTERY
The 4040mAh battery capacity in the Infinix Note 2 is not removable. The Battery life is a lot impressive; the smartphone can go 48 hours on a single charge under normal usage. The device features a fast charge capability for making the device charge super fast.
My Verdict
Infinix Note 2 is a nice smartphone that worth the price. Kudos to Infinix for giving Nigerians a chance to own a decent smartphone at a giveaway price.
