Inoi 5i Review – Dual Rear Camera, Price, Performance and Full Specs

Russia is having its share of smartphone releases in this month of October 2018. The Inoi 5i device is also one of these October releases. It is also an affordable smartphone for youngsters or for those that can’t afford to purchase high-end smartphone but still want to enjoy the basic specifications in a modern smartphone.

Let’s dive in reveal the strengths and weaknesses of the Inoi 5i by checking out the details about design, display, camera, performance, price and other features.

Design and Display of Inoi 5i

Diagonal size of the smartphone is 5.5 inches, the width is 2.4 inches, and the height is 4.92. Information about the dimension and weight are not available yet. The Inoi 5i body is mainly made of plastic, polished to make it look very impressive. It is not water resistant. However, it comes in red, gold, black and blue colors.

Display type in Inoi 5i is IPS capacitive touch screen of 16 million colors. Screen size is 5.5 inches. Similarly, the pixels resolution is 640 x 1280. Pixel density is 260 ppi, screen to body ratio is 75 percent, and aspect ratio is 75 percent. Protective features include multi-touch, up to 10 fingers, scratch resistant, and 2.5D curved glass screen. However, there is no secondary display for Inoi 5i.

At the camera department there is dual rear camera of 8 MP and 0.3 MP with dual LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. Image resolution is up to 3264 x 2448 and the video performs at 730p@30fps with FHD recording. Other features include auto focus, continuous shooting, digital zoom, exposure compensation, face detection, geo-tagging, HDR, panorama, scene mode, self-timer and more.

However, the front camera is a single 5 MP shooter which comes without flash. Furthermore, there is f/2.4 aperture and a few other features for the selfie camera.

Hardware and Software

Android 8.1 Oreo Go runs on Inoi 5i. This comes with modified user interface, and hopefully will upgrade to the latest Android 9 Pie later. In addition, the hardware present in the device is MediaTek MT6739 with process technology 28 nm. The CPU is Quad-core 1.3 GHz 4-Cores, and GPU is PowerVR GE8100 2-Cores.

Storage Capacity and Sensors

There is only 1GB of RAM for internal memory which cannot be expanded. However, the internal storage is 8GB which can be expanded up to 64GB with a microSD card. Although there is no fingerprint sensor in the Inoi 5i, there are accelerometer, proximity, and ambient light sensors in the device.

Network and Connectivity in Inoi 5i

There are the three main internet networks in the device, and these are 2G, 3G, and 4G. This means that the smartphone is able to operate on GSM, WCDMA, HSPDA, and LTE. These also work in conjunction with dual Nano SIM card which have two slots provided for in the device.

Other connectivity features include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, USB Type-C, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, HDMI, 3.5mm audio jack, and others. However, there is no NFC or infrared in this smartphone.

Battery Life

Powering the Inoi 5i is a good 2850 mAh Li-Ion that can be removed. It doesn’t have wireless charging or fast charging technology. Nevertheless, the battery is able to carry the user through 24 hours use.

Price and Availability

Inoi 5i sells for about $60 USD which we believe is affordable enough for those who love the specifications stated above. The device is available right now as the manufacturer assures since its release in October 2018.
