Russian company Jinga just released their entry-level smartphone, the Jinga Joy. The smartphone comes with the trending dual rear camera and bezel-less display we see on most flagships.
A stunning device it is, even from a distance. It packs 16GB internal storage as well to store all files. The best part of the phone is how affordable it is on Shopping stores. Apart from the bezel-less display, dual rear camera and 16GB storage, what else does the Jinga Joy have in store for us? Lets find out.
Design
Sports a Plastic overall unibody but trust me, you won’t have a clue from a distance. It reflects light beautifully and shines while you are out and about on a very sunny day. The dual rear camera is definitely one of the highlights of the device and they both sits like a king at the back.
A single LED flash sits right beside the dual shooters, while the Jinga logo occupies the fingerprint sensor position. There’s no rear fingerprint scanner on the device so hopefully it will be at the front. It sports a rear loudspeaker as well at the right bottom part for extremely loud music and bass. The beautiful device is only available in Black, which won’t be likable for bright color lovers.
Display
So apparently the smartphone has no fingerprint scanner or any other ‘modern’ unlock pattern. But at least its bezel-less with no narrow bezels in sight. I still think a physical home button can be at the bottom bezel if they wanted to. Selfie camera, speaker grille and ambient light sensor are the features on the top bezel.
Moving on to the Full View display now, a 5.5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen that offers clarity. Boasting of 1280 x 640 pixels in resolution and 260 pixel per inch density. The multi-touch screen boasts of a 78% screen to body ratio, while a 2.5D curved glass is protecting the screen.
Hardware and Software
Doing all the work underneath is a MediaTek MT6737 chipset with 4-cores. The Quad-core processor has a 64-bit CPU architecture, 28nm process technology and clocks at 1.25 GHz. In the graphics department, the ARM Mali-T720 MP1 graphics processor comes with a single core and reaches a speed of 600MHz.
Multitask only light apps and not too many apps to avert hanging, it has just 1GB of RAM space. The RAM space reaches a memory speed of 640MHz offering smooth multitasking for light apps. 16GB storage space is available as well for all your files, it is upgradeable up to 32GB using a memory card. The Joy smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with modified user interface.
Camera
Definitely the highlight of the device, a dual 8MP + 0.3MP rear shooters that captures 3K resolution images. It comes with LED flash to brighten up photographs taken in dark places among other features. Photos taken with the Jinga Joy can boast up to 3264 x 2448 pixels in dimension. Selfies can be taken with the 5MP selfie camera with no front flash in sight. While videos of 720 pixels can be recorded at 30 frames per second.
Battery
Powering the Jinga Joy up is a 2500mAh removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging technology support. Ideally, it shouldn’t take more than 2 hours to fully charge up the device.
