LG Q7 has been launched as a midrange beauty, the Q7 is an update to the Q6 smartphone which was introduced last year. The new device comes with a very solid body and delivers amazing sounds, it seems LG focused on the audio when creating this device.
It has Hi-Fi audio with DTS:X 3D Surround Sound, it can also emulate 7.1 channela through headphones. Specs-wise, there’s 32GB storage space, 3GB of RAM, runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and sports a 13MP rear camera. Lets find out more.
Design
The Q7 comes with a solid Metal unibody that has MIL-STD-810G-compliant. It also boasts of IP68 certifications, offering dust and water resistant of not more than 1.5mtr underwater and up to 30 minutes. There’s version with dual SIM as well.
In terms of rear features, we can see the camera starting a vertical train at the top middle. The LED flash follows underneath, before the fingerprint scanner rounds it up. It measures 8.4 mm in thickness and weighs 145g overall, it’s available in Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet colors.
Display
The new installation to the Q series chips with a Full Vision LCD display, there’s no notch here, just the standard full screen. The top and bottom bezel are super minimal as well, letting the screen to dish out an 18:9 aspect ratio to entice bezel-less lovers.
Focusing on the 5.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen now, it displays amazingly well for its price. With a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and 439 pixel per inch density, all the details on the screen should come out pretty nicely. It’s protected by a 2.5D glass and stretches up to 78.3% screen-to-body ratio.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 450 chip from Qualcomm is in charge with an Octa-Core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 8-Cores of processor here runs at a pace of of 1.8GHz with 14nm process technology. The Adreno 506 graphics processor from Qualcomm handles graphics as well.
Multitask smoothly with 3GB of RAM space available here, it has a fast memory speed of 933MHz as well. While for storage, a standard 32GB space is ready to accommodate all your files and apps. You can upgrade up to 400GB anytime, it runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.
Camera
The 13MP rear shooter handles everything photography, there are lots of features to use as well. From phase detection autofocus, touch focus, face detection, panorama and a LED flash for low light shots. Shoot videos of 1080p@30fps, while the 8MP selfie camera has a 100° super wide angle lens.
Battery
Powering the LG Q7 is a 3000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 1.3 hours.
