Microsoft has launched yet another awesome Windows Smartphone this week for the India, Middle East, Africa (IMEA) and Asia Pacific (APAC) regions and Priced at $150 (roughly Rs. 9,361 & N30,000 when available in Nigeria) before subsidies. For this little amount, you get your 5 inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS LCD display offering a pixel density of 294ppi, dual SIM connectivity 1GB RAM and 8GB storage along with an 8MP camera at the back.
The Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM phone runs on Windows Phone 8.1. The Redmond giant specificaly notes that the Microsoft Lumia 540 OS (Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim) will be upgradable to Windows 10 when update is available later in the year.
The Microsoft Lumia 540 is similar to that of Microsoft Lumia 640 in term of specs. The Microsof Lumia 540 offers both 2G & 3G on network front and add-ons like Dual-SIM slots (type – micro), Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, micro-USB v2.0, NFC, A-GPS, and GLONASS.
Much like other Lumia handsets, the Lumia 540 Dual SIM also comes with 30GB of free OneDrive cloud storage. The device is powered with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor.
This newly released low budgeted Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM will start rolling out early next month and will offer lower mid range specs. The Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM comes in some selected color ranging from layered Cyan, Orange, White and Matte Black colours.
