Welcoming semi-professional and professional players worldwide, PUBG Mobile Pro League was among the events expected to take place in March this year, as every year. With the announcement made last month, gamers were sure that the PUBG Mobile tournament would take place. However, the concern of COVID-19 made the authorities decide to change the format about the tournament.
Taking a precautionary decision against Coronavirus, Tencent and PUBG Corporation announced that they have turned the PUBG Mobile Pro League South Asian Tournament into an online event. The e-sports tournament of PUBG Mobile on March 19 will be watched live on YouTube channel.
PUBG Mobile Pro League is not the first e-sports event affected by Coronavirus. Blizzard recently canceled Overwatch matches against the risk of spreading the virus.
