Qualcomm took advantage of the Computex 2018 in Taiwan to unveil its most powerful flagship processor – the Snapdragon 850. Usually, the SoCs of this manufacturer are intended for smartphones, but this is not. This is a chipset for Windows PCs, and Samsung has already confirmed that it will release a convertible that will have it on board. Mobile lovers, however, will not be lost much as this SoC is practically an overclocked SD845.
The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 has a substantial difference from its predecessor to the fact that it can run at a maximum rate of 2.96 GHz instead of 2.8 GHz. There seem to be some changes in the Snapdragon X20 LTE modem that reaches 1.2 Gbps of speed. The frequency increase according to Qualcomm will increase the speed by 30% compared to 835. This processor will do better on PCs, it will not overheat, it will not consume excessively the battery and will be able to go into standby without hibernation to resume activity quickly after periods of absence.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 and 439 incoming. Aimed at Android GO devices, but not exclusive to these. No idea what the 429 is, yet, but the 439 is a variant of the MSM8953 aka Snapdragon 625 = octacore ARM Cortex-A53, 14nm. No clue about speeds/other specs.

Compared to the 835 will provide 20% more battery life, 20% more speed in wireless connections and artificial intelligence with the Hexagon DSP. It will support video encoding and decoding in 4K HEVC and with H.264 audio, as well as recording in 4K camera. Meanwhile, after the announcement of Qualcomm Snapdragon 850, the Roland Quandt leakster has confirmed that soon also will arrive Snapdragon 429 and 439, 2 low-end processors for smartphones with Android Go. It seems that the 439 will be a variant of the Snapdragon 625 with an octa-core architecture formed by ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs and with a 14 nm production process.
