The Huawei P20 is one of the most anticipated smartphones of the first half of 2018 – and its manufacturer is clearly aware of this.
After all, leaks involving this model, we can see that it will hit the market as a formidable competitor to the Galaxy S9 and iPhone X.
Despite its great popularity in China, Huawei still struggles for a prominent spot in some markets such as the US – where it has launched its current top-of-the-line Mate 10, “boycotted” by the government.
Appealing for a bit more “aggressive” advertising, the Chinese company started a campaign with ad trucks positioned in front of Apple and Samsung stores:
In the image above we can see two vehicles with panels bearing “Be patient” and “Wait” – both highlighting the letters “A and I,” referring to Artificial Intelligence.
In addition to the vehicles shown above, Huawei has also painted the sidewalks in front of its competitors’ stores with the phrase: “The Renaissance is coming.”
The Huawei P20, which has a special model with 512 GB of storage, and a Pro version with a triple camera of up to 40 MP is scheduled to debut on March 27th, but the most basic model of the line, the P20 Lite, already was announced.
The company’s aggressive marketing strategy only shows how committed it is to conquering American consumers.
The question that does not want to be silent now is – Will this type of marketing work? We are waiting to see.
i don’t understand Huawei thinks Apple and Samsung stores are best places for ads.
