Samsung adds support for LTE to the Chromebook Plus V2 notebook

Samsung released a new version of its Chromebook Plus laptop in June, but it had a flaw, it did not come with LTE. Now Samsung is announcing that an LTE compatible version is coming with the new Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 LTE model, ideal for those who need to be connected anywhere, even in those places where there is no WiFi.

Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 now compatible with LTE

Much of the hardware remains the same in this version. It includes the Intel Celeron 3965Y CPU (Kaby Lake) as the main brain of the entire team. Although Celeron is considered not to have enough power for most Windows applications, it is more than enough for the lightweight Chrome operating system. This dual 1.5GHz CPU is also more powerful than the ARM-based 2.0GHz hexa-core processor used in the first Chromebook Plus model.

In terms of memory and storage, the notebook has 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of SSD storage. The laptop also retains the 2-in-1 convertible design, with the ability to easily switch to tablet mode. In addition, it has a built-in stylus to write notes directly on the touchscreen and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera.

How much does the Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 (LTE) cost?

This new Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 LTE will be available from November 2. It costs the same as the $ 599 Chromebook Pro (Core m3 @ 2.2GHz). Which in turn costs 100 more than the model without LTE.
