Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus Is Snappy. See Review & Price

It’s a new dawn and my visit to the market shopping for a laptop was rewarded by this great product from mobile giant – Samsung. Though not actually in the list of latest laptops, the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus sports a slim and sleek look in an impressive aluminium chassis and adds a Retina-like display, long battery life and swift Haswell performance.

The Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus notebook may look somewhat expensive at N280.000 but the fact that it combines a 3200 x 1800-pixel touch-screen display with a fourth-generation Core i5 processor makes it to sit in the middle between Asus Zenbook UX301 (N300.000) and Apple MacBook Air 13 (N200.000).

THE DESIGN

No doubt, the Samsung ATIV book 9 Plus features a design that is clean and simple. The chrome Samsung logo found on the lid is a turn off to me. Again, the ATIV book 9 Plus weighs about 3.2 pound which looks quite heavy to me when compared with Apple MacBook Air 13 and the Acer Aspire S7.

GENERAL PERFORMANCE

Generally speaking, the Samsung ATIV book 9 Plus is packed with a 1.6-GHz Intel Core i5-4200U CPU with 4GB of RAM. This produced a snappy performance during my test run. Additionally, the ATIV Book 9 Plus’ 13.3-inch, 3200 x 1800 display is a joy to look at. The images on this notebook was clear without clusters.

THE PRICE

Starting at N280.000 the Samsung ATIV book 9 Plus delivers great performance but perhaps not a low budget PC.
