Samsung will equip a 120 Hz screen for the Galaxy S11

According to Neowin, shared by leakster Ice Universe on Twitter, the image shows a hidden option in One UI 2.0 beta for the Galaxy Note 9 that allows users to switch between 60 Hz and 120 Hz in manual mode or automatic.

Of course, this option will not be possible with the Galaxy Note 9 because the phone does not have hardware that supports a 120 Hz screen. Instead, Ice Universe thinks that if all goes well, the Galaxy S11 may come with this screen feature.

In addition to switching between 60 Hz and 120 Hz modes, users can also have additional options to turn off the high refresh rate mode and keep the screen at 60 Hz. In addition, users can enable high refresh rate mode and keep it always at 120 Hz refresh rate.

If this feature appears in next-generation Galaxy S devices, it will mark Samsung’s first foray into the high-refresh-rate screen segment. Before that, Asus ROG Phone II and Razer Phone 2 were two of the first smartphones to apply this ability.
