Samsung showed its new Curved Gaming Monitor CJG50 at GamesCom 2018. The model offers 144 Hz, diagonally measures 32 inches and with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. In the market, the monitor will appear in the third quarter and cost 429 euros. The South Koreans refer to this sample as the new entry-level monitor with WQHD resolution and a game-ready 144 Hz.
As a contrast, Samsung states for the CJG50 3.000 – 1. At the press of a button, this display switches to gaming mode. Thus, according to Samsung, black level, contrast, and sharpness as well as saturation of the image are automatically optimized for games. Samsung also mentions a reaction time of 4 ms (GtG). A VA panel with a maximum brightness of 300 cd / m2 is used. The interfaces are DisplayPort 1.2, headphones and two HDMI 1.4 ports. This monitor measures 712.5 x 519.5 x 242.8 mm with a weight of 5.8 kg.
The new Curved Gaming Monitor CJG50 also comes with an HDMI cable, an installation CD and a quick start guide. In addition to the new CJG50, Samsung also showed at the GamesCom in Cologne, the flagship CHG90 with 49 inches.
