The Spice F311 has been launched by Spice in India, the F311 is the latest smartphone from Spice with 4G LTE connectivity. The device targets those on a budget, coming with 1GB of RAM and running on Android 8.1 Go Edition.
This is Spice’s first smartphone running on the latest operating system from Google. The Go Edition works seamlessly with smartphone that has 1GB RAM or lower. The F311 has a rear fingerprint scanner and 16GB storage space.
Design
Spice’s F311 is absolutely stunning for a budget-friendly smartphone. Even though it has a Plastic-like back cover, it comes in two shades for each color variant. The features at the rear looks identical to what we typically see on modern day smartphones.
The rear camera starts a vertical train at the top middle, followed by the dual-LED flash underneath then the fingerprint scanner follows closely. It measures 8.25mm in thickness and available in Rose Gold, Black and Phantom Red colors.
Display
The screen isn’t all that amazing but it’s obviously better than many other affordable smartphones. The bezels have been greatly reduced by Spice, however, the the bottom antenna found its way to the front, making the bottom bezel more thicker.
The 5.45-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen seems pretty basic though. It has a resolution of 480 x 960 pixels and 195 pixel per inch density, this should display your movies and games clearly, bit don’t expect magic.
Hardware and Software
It houses the MediaTek MT6737 chipset which was built on a 28nm technology, so power efficiency might not be that great. The chip comes with 4-cores of processor, which clocks at 1.1GHz. While the ARM Mali-720 MP2 graphics card handles graphics.
You get just 1GB of RAM for extremely light multitasking and this is aided by the Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition. The operating system comes with Go apps that you can multitask easily. For storage, there’s 16GB storage space available and you can upgrade up to 32GB.
Camera
It’s equipped with dual 5MP cameras, one at the back and another at the front for selfies. The rear camera comes with a dual-LED flash underneath, while the selfie camera comes with a single LED flash as well.
Battery
Powering the Spice F311 is a 2400mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2 hours.
