Tecno Camon iClick VS Tecno Camon X – Camon smartphones with AI-based camera

Tecno Camon iClick VS Tecno Camon X – Camon smartphones with an AI-based camera. Tecno Mobile is back with a new smartphone for the Indian market called the Tecno Camon iClick. The OEM company have a strong fan-base in West Africa already and are looking to penetrate the Indian market. Well, most smartphone makers are entering the Indian market. Samsung recently released some couple of phones for that market. Tecno Camon is a camera-based series and one of Tecno’s best so far. They have the Tecno Camon series for the African market and the Tecno Camon I series for the Indian market.

Under the Tecno Camon I series, they have the Tecno Camon I, Camon I sky and the newly released Camon iClick. The Tecno Camon iClick is just the Indian version of the Tecno Camon X, which was released for the African market. Just like they did with the Tecno Camon CM (African market) and Tecno Camon I (Indian market). In this article, we will be comparing the Tecno Camon iClick and Camon X. Let’s see which one of the two smartphones is the best under the Camon series.

Well, they both have the same design, which is what I expected to be honest. The Camon iClick and Camon X features a front glass with plastic polycarbonate unibody and curved edges. The Tecno Camon iClick weighs 150 grams and measures 158.6 x 75.8 x 7.8 in dimensions. While the Tecno Camon X weighs 148 grams and 158.6 X 75.8 X 7.8 mm in dimensions. On the back of both smartphones is a rear camera with dual-LED flash at the top left corner. Their fingerprint sensor is rear mounted and below it is the Tecno mobile brand name.

The Tecno Camon X is available in three different body colors; Champagne Gold, Midnight Black, and City Blues. While for the Tecno Camon iClick, there is no City Blues body color, instead it has just the Midnight Black and Champagne Gold body colors.

Tecno Camon iClick VS Tecno Camon X – The Display

The Camon X and Camon iClick features a 6.0 inch full HD+ IPS LCD touchscreen. Their display sports an 18:9 aspect ratio, 720 x 1440 pixels resolution and 275 pixels per inch density. There’s nothing to differentiate the Camon X and Camon iClick in the display department. Protecting their screen is a 2.5D curved glass. I really think Tecno Mobile should start manufacturing smartphones with Corning gorilla glass.

Tecno Camon iClick VS Tecno Camon X – The Camera

The camera is simply the best thing to happen to both devices with the incorporation of an Artificial Intelligence (AI). At the back of both the Camon X and the Camon iClick is a 16MP sensor with dual-LED flash. While at the front, is a 20MP selfie sensor, which is based on AI auto scene recognition, AI Beauty, AI Bokeh and AI soft flashlight. There’s a bigger version of the Tecno Camon X, which is called the Tecno Camon X Pro. The Camon X Pro features a 24MP selfie sensor.

Powering the Tecno Camon X and Camon iClick is Mediatek Helio P23 coupled with Mali graphics processing unit. The Helio P23 chipset on both phones carries Octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. The Tecno Camon X hosts a 3GB memory with 16GB internal storage. While on the Tecno Camon iClick is a 4GB memory with 64GB internal storage. The Camon X bigger version, the Tecno Camon X Pro also comes with a 4GB memory and 64GB storage.

Tecno Camon iClick VS Tecno Camon X – The Battery

The Camon X and Camon iClick both pack the same non-removable Li-lon 3750 mAh battery capacity with Quick Charge technology. And they both support USB Type-C 2.0 (with OTG support) charger.

Tecno Camon iClick VS Tecno Camon X – The Price

The Tecno Camon X cost about $166 (N58,000). While the Tecno Camon iClick cost about $200 (N70,000). As you can see from our comparison, the only difference is the memory and internal storage. So if you’re not a heavy user of storage, the Camon X will be the best choice.
