The company known as Vernee is often treated as a rookie in the smartphone manufacturing world. Probably this is due to its production of cheap phones which make use of scaled off performance specifications.
This time around, Vernee introduced a new smartphone in the month of September 2018. It is called Vernee M3. You can buy this smartphone for less than $100. However, does the price justify the specs?

Design and Display of Vernee M3
For the display there is a screen size of 5.5 inches of IPS LCD technology, HD+ multi-touch display of up to 10 fingers. The screen resolution is 1440 x 720 pixels with 18:9 aspect ratio. There is 293 ppi density protection from 2.5D curved glass
Body dimension of the smartphone is both metal and plastic. However, the device is neither dust nor water proof. The dimensions for the smartphone are 147.8 x 70.5 x 8.8 mm. The M3 weighs 155 grams, and comes in blue, gold, and black colors.
Vernee M3 Camera Features
The main camera is situated to the rear and it is dual in nature. There is 13 MP plus 2 MP dual LED flash and AF rear camera features. The 2 MP camera at the rear has f/2.0 aperture, flash, and the video is capable of producing 1080p@30fps. It also has touch to focus and auto focus modes.
At the front there is a 5 MP selfie camera but no flash. The selfie camera is able to produce videos 720p @30fps. Other features included in the selfie camera are face detection, beauty mode, palm selfie, and wide selfie.
Hardware Performance and Storage
Vernee M3 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo which has no indication of having firmware that could update to Android 9 Pie. There is the power of MediaTek MT6739WA, and 64-bit processing chipset. The CPU is Octa-core 1.3 GHz ARM A53 Quad core CPU Clock. The GPU is PowerVR GE8100, 570 MHz.
For storage capacity, the Vernee M3 is equipped with 3GB RAM which not expandable. However the internal storage of 32GB is expandable with the use of micro SD card.
Network and Connectivity
Vernee M3 is able to handle all internet networks except that it is unable to handle 4G in the USA. It copes nicely with 2G, 3G, and 4G respectively. The connectivity features include Bluetooth v4.0, A2DP, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, AGPS, GLONASS, microUSB 2.0.
There is provision for dual SIM slots in the Vernee M3 and it has the following sensors – proximity, accelerometer, ambient light, fingerprint scanner, and compass.
Battery Life
The Vernee M3 packs in the power of 3300 mAh non removable battery. The charger output power is 5v/2A and it operates on power saving mode at times when the battery usage drops very low, or as directed by the user.
Price and Availability
Globally, the Vernee M3 price is $99 USD. In Europe it sells for 85 Euros, or 75 Pounds. In China it goes for 670 Yuan, and in India it goes for 6,800 Rupees.
