Before now, Wiko had released the Wiko Sunny device. The device came with a 5 MP camera, and 1200 mAh battery. However, the Wiko Sunny Max comes with better upgrade than the former. Let us quickly take a look at the specs of this device. I’d take you my take on it too. Just like the Sunny device, this one’s an entry-level too.
DESIGN
On measurements, the device measures 128.3 x 66.3 x 13.2mm and weighs 149g. You’d surely be very comfortable carrying the device about. Wiko Sunny Max comes in different colour variants. Part of which includes Space Grey, Silver, Gold and Navy Blue. The device seems creatively beautiful and wonderfully made. This justifies the name “Sunny”. Indications are that most parts of the smartphone are made of plastic.
DISPLAY
This device features a 4.0-inch TFT Display. I do think this display size is a bit small for my own palm. I don’t know about you. It features a display resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. Though low, we still have to understand its entry-level. A pixel density of 233 ppi is present in the device. The pixel density takes care of producing on-screen images and icons. Might not be as clear as we expect though.
PROCESSOR AND OS
Wiko Sunny Max is built on a quad-core Processor. Processor speed is set at 1.3GHz. The device runs on an Android Operating system v6.0 (Marshmallow). You didn’t expect it to come with the latest, did you?
INTERNAL STORAGE AND RAM
For your storage of music, videos, files and many other documents, the device avails users with a 8 GB. This memory space can be expanded to the tune of 64 GB with the use of a micro SD card. Taking care of the smooth running of the device is a 512MB RAM. Please let me know what you think in this aspect.
CAMERA
On the rear of the device, there’s a 5MP Camera. The front facing camera quality is pegged at 2MP Camera. This seems like the standard for most entry-level smartphones.
CONNECTIVITY
The Wiko Sunny Max device supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. Bluetooth is of v2.1 with EDR, and USB v2.0. The highest network supported by the device is the 3G network.
BATTERY
This device features a significant upgrade from the Wiko Sunny in this department. It has as its powerhouse a 2500 mAh Li-ion Battery. Talk time is up to 15 hours (3G). It has a standby time of 491 hours (3G). This battery capacity is obviously made for light smartphone users. You might want to rethink and settle for a higher capacity if you’re an average or heavy user, like me.

The price of the Wiko Sunny Max device in Nigeria ranges from N20,000 to N35,000. Price in Ghana starts at around GH₵ 299. Wiko Sunny Max Price in Kenya starts at around 7,999 KSh.
