ZTE Blade Max 2s Review, Price, Camera, Performance & Full Specs

ZTE Blade Max 2s was released in the month of October, 2018 as another Android smartphone to be a darling of some fans. The mobile device is affordable, yet strong on display resolution and good at the internal storage level. This mobile phone comes after the ZTE Blade Max.

We are interested in outlining some salient features of ZTE Blade Max 2s in this review. These will include design, display, price, camera, network, battery and performance features.

Design and Display of ZTE Blade Max 2s

Body design material in the device is mainly plastic. The shape of the smartphone is bar, its weight is 180 grams and dimensions are 165.1 x 93.98 x 8.4 mm. It is not water resistant but it has fingerprint sensor. ZTE Blade Max 2s comes in gray color only, at least for now.

Display type is IPS LCD capacitive touch screen of 16 million colors. The screen size is 6 inches. Moreover, the pixels resolution is 2160 x 1080, pixel density is 402 ppi, and aspect ratio is 18:9. Another screen feature is 2.5D curved glass, and Gorilla Glass.

Camera Features

At the camera department, there is a single lens to the rear of ZTE Blade Max 2s. It is a primary 13 MP camera. This comes with LED flash. At the front, the secondary selfie camera is 5 MP that comes with face recognition feature and front flash.

Essentially, the video performance in the cameras is 1080p@30fps. Camera features include geotagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, auto focus, HDR, time lapse, etc.

Hardware and Software in ZTE Blade Max 2s

Android OS v8.0 Oreo is primary software in the device. We trust this can upgrade to the latest Android soon. However, the operating system is supported by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 MSM8940, process technology 28nm, and 64-bit architecture. Furthermore, the CPU is Octa-core 1400 MHz Cortex A53, and GPU is Adreno 505. These make multi-tasking on ZTE Blade Max 2s a breeze.

Storage Capacity and Sensors

For memory, there is 2GB of RAM provided. It cannot be expanded but the internal storage 32GB of ROM can be expanded up to 2000GB with a microSD card. Sensors in the mobile phone include accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, compass, and fingerprint.

Network and Connectivity Options

There are 2G, 3G, and 4G internet networks made available in the device. Supported networks are GSM, HSPA, and LTE. To spice things up, there is also provision for two Nano SIM card slots, dual standby.

Other connectivity components are Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, Micro USB 2.0 with OTG, and headphone jack. There is no HDMI, NFC, or infrared in the device.

Battery Life

Powering the device is the Li-Ion 4000 mAh non-removable battery that offers no wireless charging or fast charging option. Talk time and standby time cannot be specified at this time.

Price and Availability of ZTE Blade Max 2s

Pricing of the device is about $180 USD. Considering that price differs from store to store, we cannot assure you of the best price you can get out there. As for availability, seeing that the device has been officially released in the month of October 2018, it is available for purchase.
