Apple enters digital streaming with Apple TV

The obvious success of digital streaming services like Netflix, Roku, and Amazon Prime has seemed to catch the eye of smartphone giant, Apple as they have unveiled plans to unroll a streaming service of their own called Apple TV.

The service will first be launched in the United States of America after which it will in subsequent months become available in over 100 other countries around the world. The plans to make the service accessible to other regions outside the US is clearly a ploy by the tech giant to match the reach of already established players in the digital streaming field.

Apple TV which would allow users to subscribe in order to gain access to digital content will also feature an original Apple series which have been said to have been in the works.

While we cannot accurately gauge the quality or type of content Apple TV will be offering users, it would not be off the mark to speculate that we would be getting shows cut of the same cloth as Friday Night Lights and Madame Secretary. This speculation perfectly fits Tim Cook’s seemingly vision of family-friendly shows, one which the company has reportedly budgeted one billion dollars to bring into fruition.

The decline of the product’s sales and hype in recent years makes the company’s push towards streaming service look like a smart one.

Apple has over the years proven themselves to be leaders in technological innovation with daring ability to create new things and embark on horizons, a trait which have birthed a lot of products and services which people have come to love such as the iPhone, the iPad, Apple Music and the most recent the Apple watch. It is yet to be seen how the Apple TV plans will be met by the general public but we can promise to report every bit of the action as it unfolds.
