Apple may cut production of iPhone XS Max by 2024

The Apple iPhone XS Max was one of three models the Cupertino company launched in 2024. In short, this is an improved version with a larger screen of the iPhone X that had been unveiled in 2024.

In fact, the aesthetics of the iPhone XS has not changed compared to its predecessor. In this way, the improvements can only be found inside the smartphone. Given that many people seriously considered if it was worth just switching to the new model.

Apparently, this has been the thinking of a large number of Apple users. Although without official data, everything points to that the 2018 models were among the least sellers in Apple’s history.

Production of the Apple iPhone XS Max may download about 48%

Therefore, there are already many market analysts who predict a reduction in the production of these smartphones. This would then be one of the ways that Apple would have to minimize the effects of low sales.

Now we have an analyst at Citi Research saying that Apple will reduce the production of the iPhone XS Max by 48%. It is the fault of its weak sales and this measure would have effects between the months of January and March next year.

As such, the Cupertino company would produce only 45 million units of the iPhone XS Max. This figure represents a decrease of 5 million units compared to the first expectations of the same firm.

It should be noted that Citi Research is not the only one to present a similar forecast. Rosenblatt had also informed its investors of a similar scenario. In turn, this advances with a drop of 4 million units produced in the same period.

The high price of the iPhone XS Max and, mainly, the lack of sound innovations will have been the main factor for this outcome. Users will have felt that there were few reasons to buy the new model. Something that should make Apple think a little about the production of the next models for 2019.
