Brief History of Big Brother Naija
Big Brother Naija, formerly known as Big Brother Nigeria and popularly known as BBNaija or BBN, is a Nigerian reality TV show based on the Big Brother television franchise, in which contestants live in an isolated house and compete for a large cash prize worth N60,000,000 and other material gifts at the end of the show by avoiding being evicted from the house by viewers.
The highly-rated reality TV show has produced some notable stars such as Africa Magic’s Tinsel actor, Gideon Okeke, and TV personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
Big Brother Naija Season 1 (2006)
The first season of Big Brother Naija premiered in 2006 and aired on Dstv Channel 37 from March 5 to June 4, 2016. In a twist to the game, two new contestants were introduced on Day 23, much to the excitement of the remaining housemates.

- Before anything else, you’ll have to make a clip of yourself and state reasons as to why you would love to be on the reality TV show.
- As soon as the video is ready, get yourself logged into the BBNaija website, fill the form, upload the recorded video along with a photo of yourself and Submit. As soon as that is done, your clip will be reviewed, and if you qualify, you’ll be notified of the next step to take.

Enjoying early access for the BBNaija show simply means paying for a DStv Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, Confam, Yanga, or on GOtv Max or Jolli subscription within a specified period.
