Blackview BV5500 is a new phone that is undergoing pre-order right now. But it will not start shipping until January 15th, 2019. Taking a look at the 3G Android, we  see that it comes with some good features such as dual rear camera, high resolutions and a good battery.

Design and Display of Blackview BV5500

This Blackview BV5500 mobile phone arrives in plastic/rubber body design. The dimensions are 152.2 x 75.5 x 14 mm and its weight specification is 225 grams. It comes in black, green, yellow colors. But note, this phone does not have waterproof protection whatsoever but has face recognition technology. However, there is no fingerprint in the device. Worthy of note is that is that it has rugged design, drop proof up to 1.5m.

Also, it is a 5.5 inches screen of IPS capacitive multi-touch screen phone, which comes without a secondary display but with display protection. There is dual primary rear camera setup of 8 MP and 0.3 MP that comes with dual LED flash and FHD recording. Additionally, at the front the selfie camera is 5 MP which comes without LED flash. However, the video performance is 720p.

Hardware & Software

Blackview BV5500 also sports Android OS v8.1 Oreo as its operating system in control. In addition to that, it comes with MediaTek MT6580 chipset. Moreover, CPU is Quad-core ARM Cortex A7, and the GPU is Mali 400 MP2.

Storage Capacity and Sensors

In this device, there is 2GB of RAM and this cannot be increased. In addition to that, the internal storage is 16GB which can be increased with a micro-SD card up to 32GB. There are four sensors in the phone in the form of accelerometer, proximity, compass, and light.

Network and Connectivity

This phone is supported by GSM and HSPA. So the user has 2G and 3G available for internet connectivity. This makes this phone a 3G compliant mobile device that has dual nano SIM card slot.

As expected, network support items are Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, headphone jack and USB v2.0, Type C. Actually, there is no infrared, NFC or HDMI in the Blackview BV5500.

Battery is large at Li-Po 4400 mAh non-removable battery that does not have wireless charging and no fast charging technology. Talk time and standby time are up to 31 hours and 480 hours respectively.
