Blackview BV5900 Quick Specs/Features & Price

As we know, Blackview is renowned for releasing high-end smartphones in cheap prices and this Blackview BV5900 which arrived in August 2019 is no exception. This smartphone is now being shipped to some users in strategic areas of the world. It comes in amazing features that we will briefly check out below. Please take note that this phone arrived after BV9100 because that one had a very good sale out there in the market.

Blackview BV5900 Design and Display

This Blackview BV5900 is made of plastic rubber materials but these are very powerful. Dimensions are 80 x 159 x 15 mm and it weighs 268 grams. The color of this device is a simple black and there is no other.

On the display there is IPS capacitive touchscreen glass. The size of the display is 5.7 inches which definitely is not one of the largest, but the resolution is good at 720 x 1520 which to me is a good enough resolution for a screen this large. Also noted is the regular 16 million colors in the display, there is also multi-touch experience, and for protection, there is Corning Gorilla glass screen.

Camera Features

This Blackview BV5900 is a triple camera phone. The main rear camera is 13 MP and other is 0.3 MP all situated to the rear. For selfies there is a 5 MP front camera which also arrives in its own unique features coupled with other features such as auto focus, touch focus, HDR, and others like those.

Hardware and Software

BV5900 runs on Android 9.0 Pie on modified user interface. It surely can update to any future Android, for it is a smartphone released in 2024. In the same way, this smartphone is also powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset. The CPU is Quad core 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A53. But the GPU is PowerVR GE8300.

Storage Capacity and Sensors

This smartphone storage capacity is 3GB of RAM of which the user is able to expand. The internal storage is made up of 32GB and we quickly realize that it is not as powerful that of BV9100. However, the user can increase storage to 256GB externally. Sensors here in this mobile phone are proximity, light, accelerometer, compass, and fingerprint.

Network and Connectivity

This phone brings along all the features of a 4G Android smartphone and all other components such as Bluetooth v5.0, Wifi, GPS, A-GPS, and others like it. There is also NFC, headphone jack, and the like in the Blackview BV5900. Interestingly, this mobile phone too is able to switch over from one network to the other because the user doesn’t even need to stress over when to search for the best available network present in a certain location. The phone makes use of two nano SIM cards.

Battery Power

Powering the Blackview BV5900 device is Li-Po 5580 mAh battery which is non-removable. That’s a good thing for backup. Further, there is no wireless charging and no fast charging technology herein. But this battery can last for more than two days on a stretch.

Pros

  • Android Pie
  • Sturdy design
  • Good processors

Cons

  • One color to choose from
  • Camera features are not that impressive
  • No fast battery charging

Price and Availability

Blackview BV5900 smartphone official price is approximately $189.99. This should be the best price or you may be fortunate to find a bonanza or price slash when you want to purchase it. As for availability, the smartphone is out from the factory but is not be available everywhere you look.
