Florida, US-based smartphone maker Blu has announced its flagship smartphone Blu Pure XR which is coming in with a price tag that places it in the ranks of OnePlus 3 and Alcatel Idol 4s, two cheap flagship phones from OnePlus and Alcatel respectively.

Processor & Memory
The Blu Pure XR flagship phone comes equipped with a 2GHz octa-core MetiaTek Helio P10 chipset with Mali-T860 GPU. The processor is supported by a 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage on board which can be notched upwards using a microSD card.
Design & Display
On the screen front, the Blu Pure XR sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, and there is an “Advanced 3D Touch”, similar to the 3D Touch on the Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, which lets users select, preview, and open items. There is also a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 3 on top the display. The entire device features a dimension of 154.3 x 74.9 x 7 mm, weighing in at just 147g on an all-metal body.
Camera, OS, Battery & Connectivity
The Blu Pure XR features a 16-megapixel main camera unit at the rear with LED flash, laser focus, PDAF and on the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with wide angle lens. The device also has a front fingerprint sensor just below the display embedded with the Home button.
Coming to the software, the Blu Pure XR runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow from the go, and there is a non-removable 3,000mAh battery to fire the smartphone up. The battery gives you all the juice on the phone, and Blu has included a Quick charge feature which ensures the battery gets recharged up to 50% from Zero in just 30 minutes.
The Pure XR unlike US smartphones that are Carrier based comes unlocked and can work on any network, be it AT&T, T-Mobile in the US or Verizon, Orange, MTN, Etisalat, etc. The phone also supports LTE bands 2,4 and 7
Blu Pure XR Price in Nigeria, Kenya, US, UK
The Blu Pure XR which looks very much like Gionee S8 is already available via Amazon and Best Buy in the US for $299.99 (about 230 British Pounds in the UK, N95,000 in Nigeria, Ksh. 30,400 in Kenya, ). The smartphone comes in two colours, grey and gold, with the grey variant having a black front and the gold variant a white field.
